    Sorry #, but this is a fiendishly difficult search engine query. Can # in any way automatically track the contents of a gzipped file to enable sensible merge/rebase operations. Asked as a former hacker now using a lot of office documents, ebooks, and other gzipped XML.

    @davexunit Good. :) # is very helpful here, just create an empty repository (even somewhere local or on your USB stick) with "git init --bare bla.git" can you can setup it as remote repository and push to it. That is how I do it here with e.g. !gnusocial .
